That’s what she said. asked:
In Ontario Canada our welfare is about 500-600 per month, but our prices for everyday/month living needs is so expensive how can people survive on it? The apartments are usually 700 and up, food monthly is probably 100 and up- plus car insurance, mortgages, taxes, life insurance etc.
Are you struggling to live in today’s economy?
I’m not either genius.

TerribleT asked:
I know this guy his dad has a size able estate, but he is mortgaged to the hilt and has failing health. His son is to inherit everything, however all he will inherit is his fathers mounting debt. His father borrows and borrows and keeps digging a deeper hole. His son brought up the subject of Life insurance to offset the debt that he would inherit, his father was livid over his son insuring him. Is it possible to get Life Insurance without his father’s consent?

THEONE asked: I am 25 year old male. In strong health. I have a mortgage, car loan, and no credit card debt. I have no wife.
Which life insurance would benefit me but is also able to change with me as I produce a family and have a wife?
thanks
When you say buy term and invest the difference…invest it where? My own personal 401k’s or invest it within the policy?
I do have the power to save but lower premiums right now would be suitable.
I assume additional riders means more $??

~??CJ??~ asked:
I just bought a house and I’m about to get married. I’m thinking I should have some kind of insurance that could pay the mortgage should I ever become unable to work since I am the main breadwinner and there’s no way my soon to be husband could pay all the bills himself. He could probably hack it without the mortgage payment, that would be the killer. Anyone in the same boat? What kind of insurance is the best for this, disability or mortgage insurance?

cherry-o asked: There is so many insurance policies that I am wondering how many types of insurance I need to protect me.
Mortgage insurance: if a spouse dies, then this insurance protects you by paying the mortgage bills.
Home owners insurance: protects you if your house burns down/ weather damages/ things get stolen.
Umbrella Insurance: protects your wealth if someone tries to sue you for injury or whatever.
Homestead act: protects you up to $X amt of dollars in case someone tries to claim your home.
Title Insurance: proves that you own the home clear of odd issues.
Life insurance: due to spouse’s death it helps pay the bills and to get by.
I have no kids right now. Is it important to have mortgage, umbrella, and life insurance? I don’t have these now . We just bought a house. Please send your opinions. Thank you.

Todd, MD asked:
I am a 34 year old, married, father of 4, resident physician who just got a $60K pay raise. I was making $42K during my first year of residency training, but now with moonlighting, I am making $100K. What is the best order to invest? Of course I started with the 401K because my employer matches 4% if I invest 5%. But what next? Life Insurance, Roth, Traditional IRA, etc. or should I pay down my mortgage($200K at 8%APR) or student loans($150K at 3%APR)? My wife has a small traditional IRA, but we have no other investments. Thanks for any advice.

DRÉ asked:
I would like to split my life insurance beneficiary between my wife(85%) and mother(15%). For some reason this discussion really irritates my wife, she thinks she should get 100%. I’m not splitting it to be a jerk, I would just like to leave something for my parents so they could take care of their bills or medical needs. If I die of Natural causes my job would pay $50,000.+ supplemental life of about $288,000.= $338,000.- $50,700.(to parent) would leave $287,300. for my wife to cover funeral, payoff $77,000. mortgage, and live a normal life taking care of son. Let’s not even mention accidental death which could get up to 800,000. I always joke with my wife that’s to much money for you to be spending on the next man:-).What would be a good way to explain this to my wife?

I want to be able to use it against my mortgage. Is it possible to get money from it and not have to pay it back after a while or something? And will that change my policy in anyway?
